Community News and Events
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Jai Jalaram

It gives me great pleasure in writing to you that the Grand Diwali and Jalaram Jayanti celebration held by the Lohana Community United Kingdom on the 25th November 2012 was very well attended by our members. People travelled especially from across the UK to attend this function and were very impressed by the whole event.

The day started by reciting Hanuman Chalisa in the morning, followed by lunch when everyone was able to meet and greet their friends and family. Diwali is a time for everyone to get together and celebrate. For those who attended it was a very enjoyable day. After lunch everyone rejoiced in the Bhajans which was followed by Maha Prashad.

It is not possible to organise an event of this scale without the help and support of our well wisher and I thank the management of Newland Manor for allowing us to use their venue, Ronak Resturant for the delicious food, Snaha and Bhavik for reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, Spotcolor for printing the leaflets and tickets, Kiritbhai Karia providing the Ladvas and Narendrabhai Chotai for his donation. My sincere thanks to everyone who worked along with Pannaben to ensure the smooth running of this event.

The event was organised with panache and I congratulate the convenor, Panna Raja for the hard work she put in to make this event a great success.

I hope you all continue to support the LCUK and, together we can make our community stronger.

Hemubhai Chandarana – President, LCUK
